A mystery is coming to a close sometime tomorrow as an antique safe is about to be opened for the first time in 50 years. Story is HERE.

What's inside this monster do you think?

The safe is still fighting against the locksmiths tasked with opening it, and for the moment it's "winning" according to the hotel. The device decoding the safe's combination was logged onto the hotel's WIFI, and decided to stop what it was doing and update it's software, forcing them to start the whole process over. I would bet you any money it was powered by windows 10!

So, we're still not sure what (if anything) is in the mystery safe. Time will tell, but in the meantime, the updated story is HERE

The safe is still "winning" as the machine intended to open it has come up empty, failing to crack it's code. The hotel, who is riding high on the publicity of the mystery, has called in another veteran lock expert, Mr. Chuck Woods, to literally try his hand at getting the huge mystery vault open. What could be inside remains a mystery... for now. Updated story HERE.

A synopsis of why Mr. Woods thinks the safe won't budge for the high-tech safe-cracking machine:

As of yesterday evening, the safe remains firmly shut. A local video newscast on this one can be found HERE.

The safe was cracked open about 1:25 today, and regrettably, there's not much to say about it. Chuck Woods, the expert safe-cracker opened the vault to reveal about 2000 backup electronic key-cards, some dated to the early 2000's. Woods said "Sorry it's not Jimmy Hoffa." to an unusually excited press. All the same, one more mystery is solved! Story is HERE.
