A group of Ford Mustang enthusiasts have been on a decades-long quest for a mythical car that was thought to have been lost forever. The car, known as "Little Red" was the 1967 prototype for what would become Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, now an iconic line of performance cars.

The fate of the car was unknown, most presumed it was scrapped. That all changed when the sleuths tracked down the chain of possible owners to a lonely field outside of Fort Worth Texas, and they found what they were looking for after all this time.

The car's new owner, Craig Jackson, who is a classic car fanatic is calling on the public for any help they might be able to offer in filling in the gaps on the car's history, ultimately so that it can be restored properly after decades of neglect.

News story is HERE.
