There might be, but any of the openings are usually sealed up pretty quickly and pretty well by the US Forestry Service. It's easier for us northerners to seal up our disused mines than it is for you southerners I guess.

Our mines are salt mines lol
I didn't think you guys had much of anything for mining that close to sea level, so that's actually kinda surprising.
