Well, it turned out that the kids were playing on a pretty much empty residential side-street, and the officers found the whole situation humorous, and decided to join the kids for a quick game themselves.
In a rare instance where the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department is seen doing anything that isn't related to cleaning up drug crime, the photo (above) went viral (or as viral as local news here will take it) and I thought it humorous enough to share here. The story can be read HERE or HERE.
