John Jones went to the Nutty Putty Cave in Utah, and got himself stuck. Badly stuck- head first in a coffin-sized vertical fissure hundreds of yards from the entrance and without any means to easily be pulled back out due to the cramped nature of the cave. While a valiant rescue was mounted, Jones would succumb to organ failure from being held upside down for nearly 2 days in the cramped, dark, stagnant recesses of the cave- highlighting the dangers of wild caves, and pretty much any confined space people might face out there in their exploring efforts. A video on how this all took place is below-

I've been thinking about this one. Were manpower, machinery, and money no object, would there have been a way to save John Jones? It's a dangerous and extreme confined space scenario where time is the most crucial element, and with that in mind, I'm not sure anyone could have done anything before what eventually happened happened to him.

That said, I'm open to any ideas on this one. Were manpower, machinery, and money no object, was there even a chance to save John Jones?

Quote from Jasper Maybe drill around him

Due to the tight space, they didn't have much room for anything more than small hand tools. That and pretty much any air-powered drill is going to create so much dust and debris that'll need to be removed it's hard to imagine how it could be removed from the tunnel there- that is if you can even get power tools in there.

Like I say, this one is quite the puzzle.
