No one knows who wrote it, and no one can read it. Named for the man who bought it in 1912, this medieval manuscript is hand written and illustrated, but the "words" in it are of an entirely unknown language. A few words in other languages dot the book in places, placing it around the time of the Italian renaissance, but beyond that what it is remains a total mystery.
