The village of Whitehall, New York has declared Bigfoot to be their new mascot animal in a move that doesn't surprise too many. Whitehall has built up a cottage tourism industry surrounding Bigfoot, they put up a huge statue (seen HERE) in 2017, have had festivals, events, Bigfoot "hunts" and more following the town's rise to fame for a series of widely-publicized Bigfoot sightings in 1976.
