Almost a decade after the viral web phenomenon captured the imaginations of Reddit, launched viral stars like Markiplier and PewDiePie into the spotlight, and caused 2 kids in Wisconsin to nearly kill their friend in the woods (HERE), the Slender Man is getting his own movie!



The downside of course being that everything spooky about the Slender Man has been done many times before by considerably more original films with much more room for creative ideas- this is going to be shackled to the game formula, likely with Blair-Witch levels of shaky camera work. Excellent.

Fun fact, this movie has been pulled by Marcus Theaters in both Waukesha and Milwaukee counties (the latter containing Milwaukee, Wisconsin's largest city) out of respect for those impacted by the famous case. News story can be found HERE.

The Cage version.

I think Nick Cage makes it slightly more bearable than the old version, because at least there's some comedic levity between all the insulting bullshit.

One of the best cartoons this decade. Slender Man has a cameo in the recently released GF comic Lost Legends. Share
