Mattress Firm, America's largest Mattress retailer by sheer volume and market share, has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection. Mattress Firm bought out all of it's major competitors, namely Mattress Giant in 2012, and Sleepy's Mattresses in 2016. Mattress Firm then re-branded the newly acquired stores, many of which overlapped with existing Mattress Firm locations. Most agree a major wave of store closures was inevitable.

This reminded me of something that's (loosely) related, or at least related to Mattress Firm. The video below delves into the roots and fascination with the often-cited conspiracy theory that Mattress Firm is a massive front operation for the mafia. Seriously.
