Wargaming has a new tank- the one they previewed back in December, it's the Swedish STRV S1, the "premium" hydro-pneumatic suspension tank destroyer with the "Siege Mode" all the pro players talk about in hushed tones.

It can be yours for a mere $48.99, or if you gotta have all your vents and stuff included, $79.99 for the Ultimate kit.

Have at em' I guess.

I think I know what you're trying to say. Maybe.

Anyone going to buy one of these things? I'm not one for ambush tactics myself, so I can't see myself getting one unless I was already acquainted with the mechanics of the other TD's first.

What's the bigger turn-off for you- mechanics, or price?

I like tds that can fight when they have to. The s1 can only run away.

I'm not a huge fan of the S1 as either the people driving them are total idiots who can't use them properly, or they are TOO good and they wind up with 5+ kills every game. I'm not going to grouse about "OP" tanks, but I will say it's a lot of fun smacking these things down knowing they're as nasty as they are.

I haven't bought one yet, but I may yet. I have the UDES 03, and it is quite different from a standard tank destroyer.

Is it pretty easy to get used to the "Siege Mode" mechanics? I've heard it takes a lot of getting used to.

I suppose I'll find out one day. I'm still grinding the Sav/43, which is a really crummy version of the Hetzer I might add. I'm in no rush to grind through the rest of these suckers.
