LEGO buys Merlin Entertainments, Alton Towers | Forum

The billionaire behind the LEGO Corporation, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, has teamed up with an investment group to buy the UK's Merlin Entertainments Company, which owns some of the UK's most iconic attractions- including the London Eye Ferris Wheel, legendary amusement park Alton Towers, and much more. Merlin was the licensee for many of the Legoland amusement parks, which will give LEGO exclusive and private control over all of these attractions going forward. It'll be interesting to see where they go from there.
