Disney threatens to Sue Grieving Father | Forum

A British father of a 4-year-old boy, whose son loved Spider Man, wanted to have the famous superhero depicted on his son's tombstone. Ollie Jones died in December of a rare genetic disorder. Disney first said no, then threatened to sue the man if he went ahead with it. Disney's argument against the gesture is that it wishes to preserve the "innocence and magic" of their licensed characters. His father, Lloyd Jones (as well as the Internet at large) have called BS on the money-hungry corporation, as seen here:

Reddit, the "Front Page of the Internet" caught wind of this. Millions of members strong, the community has pledged it's support to the Jones' family's plight. Whether that's out of a genuine sense of compassion for the grieving family, or if it's just an excuse to kick Disney around remains to be seen, but the memes and hate are flowing now.
