The United States Navy, pressed for more info about a series of videos where USN fighter jets encountered strange things in the sky, stated they were "unexplained aerial phenomenon" and that was about that. This is still huge, as an organization as big and powerful as the USN not knowing what exactly it's looking at there is a striking tone shift from previous efforts to downplay unexplained sightings as generic "weather phenomena" and little else. While this certainly doesn't mean what's pictured are "extraterrestrial craft" or anything like that, it does raise some big questions as to what exactly the navy encountered out there.
