During World War Two, the US Army worked rather diligently to develop the best tanks they could to pummel the Germans into submission, which they did with the help of the Soviet, British, and other allied forces. However, how the western allies most iconic tank, the M4 Sherman became the mighty war winning tool of destruction it ultimately was is a fascinating story all of it's own- something the Chieftain talks about at length here. It's hard to believe that some Wolverine tank destroyers had smaller guns than new Shermans!
