I think the season proved that replacing McCarthy was the right move, but that does leave a lot of questions about the state of the team now. I dunno, the Pack is good, but clearly good wasn't quite good enough this time around.

The Packers had a lot of missed opportunities against the Bucs. While that sucks in the short term for obvious reasons, long term what that says to me is that y'all are close. I mean last year when the Pack got destroyed by the 49ers they weren't even close.

But now that Rodgers has entered the Favre "will I or won't I" stage time will be of the essence.

Very true. I hope Rodgers stays with the Pack, he's been with us for about a decade now, and as you said, it's not like things are hopelessly broken here. Coaching is going to have to take a hard look at the state of the team though, hopefully they can find what's wrong and fix it.

I think they will. The NFC is weaker than the AFC (mainly because they don't have to play the Chiefs to get to the Super Bowl), so I think within the 2 next years the Packers should breakthrough and get to a Super Bowl barring either Rodgers retiring or significant injuries.
