Battlebots was (is?) a TV show where skilled home engineers and university teams constructed combat robots to fight in an arena- where weight limits dictate that clever engineering usually determined the winner. A key weak point for many robots are their wheels- so one team thought to make a robot that didn't have any. That robot was Recks, and it was the star of the shortest Battlebots fight ever (as far as I am aware) at 11 seconds.
