I guess that is what happens when you can stream the movie for free on HBO Max. Even if you don't care about TSS it is still interesting, because it clearly shows that streaming can make a MASSIVE dent.

While I doubt it's universal, I know that if I can choose between seeing a movie in a theater with overpriced snacks, or sitting at home in my pajamas with a pizza- it's an easy choice. That Suicide Squad failed despite objectively positive ratings is a grim warning for the theaters of what's to come. For better or worse, movie theaters are going to have to step it up to survive.
