It's uh... pretty strange.

...why does he only have one shoe? What if I merely rent a computer? I need answers advertisers!

I have no idea.
Check out the avatar on this one.

I am actually kinda impressed that Runescape is still a thing in any capacity in 2021!
So, the elevator dealers are back...
But there's more to this than just trying to sell Chinese elevators, no, they have a story to tell here on FortFantasy, and I'd be some kind of monster if I didn't give them a stage for their tales!
So, without further ado, ladies and gents, have a seat for what I am now calling...
Today, our storyteller is dumbwaerlevator, who has a story to tell us about a young man who is very nervous for a job interview, and who may himself be an elevator. It's breathtaking! It's wonderful! It's kinda confusing... But! That only adds to the DRAMA! Please enjoy "The Elevator Doors Opened."

Too funny!

So why do the spambots keep showing up?
The bots are running a script that looks for sites that they can autofill in results to quickly create accounts. Oxwall powered sites like this one are particularly vulnerable to these sort of bots as short of redeveloping huge swaths of the system, there's not a good way to make the signup process "different" than any other Oxwall site. So even old bot scripts will take a crack at it. We've got a couple layers beyond that which do a pretty good job of filtering out and deleting the bots before anyone here will ever see them, but every now and again a few still get through.
The common factors on the ones that do make it through are that they use gmail as their email service, and the account is created- idles for a couple months and then comes back to post a few things at random. Sort of a trojan horse sort of thing. That said, it takes longer for me to log in than it does to take out a whole army of bots, so I'm not too worried about the couple that sneak by every month or two.
So long as people don't click on their links, all should be well for everyone.
