I have some grand aspirations to talk about some of the cool abandoned subway systems, stations, and trains scattered across the world's busy underground transit systems, but to start with, how about a picture of an abandoned tunnel of the Paris Metro.

A disclaimer, for those looking for the sandwich shop chain, that'll be a different thread altogether. 
(Though, in all seriousness, this is the ONLY picture I could find. I have a feeling most Subway restaurants are alive and well just as they were decades ago- Subway is pretty resilient like that.)
